Homepage
Problem
The Yale School of Art’s original website allowed open editing by students, leading to inconsistent layouts, confusing navigation, and accessibility issues. The lack of a cohesive design made it difficult for users to find information and engage with the content effectively.
Approach
Designed a responsive homepage concept as part of an academic project, using grid systems in Figma to create a structured layout adaptable across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Focused on simplifying navigation, improving accessibility, and creating a unified visual identity to better serve diverse audiences, including students, alumni, faculty, and art enthusiasts.
Prioritized showcasing the school’s mission, events, and student artwork in a visually appealing and user-friendly manner.
Outcome
Delivered a responsive homepage design concept that addressed usability challenges and improved accessibility.
Created a cohesive and scalable layout that effectively highlights the school’s resources and artistic achievements.
